The Calistoga Internship Collaborative is a project of the Calistoga Joint Unified School District working with the City of Calistoga, local businesses, the Calistoga Promise, and the community to support high school students in obtaining work-based learning experiences.

Fields of Opportunity  8 Week Summer Mentor Program: June 11 – August 3, 2018 For CJUSD and SHUSD Students – 16 years or older
A collaboration between Napa Valley Grapegrowers, Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, Calistoga Joint Unified School District and St. Helena Unified School District, FIELDS of OPPORTUNITY is an innovative mentor program connecting local students, who are interested in a career path in the wine industry, to a paid summer job. Students will have an opportunity to work with four Napa Valley Grapegrowers throughout the summer to learn various aspects of the vineyard business. Topics to include: viticulture, vineyard operations, mechanics and specialty training, safety & human resources, winery and cellar work, and more.

UC Davis Young Scholars Program
Do research in the summer on a university campus!

June 24 -- August 4, 2018
Application Period: December 1, 2017 -- March 16, 2018
Application Fee: $25

Join other high achieving high school rising juniors and rising seniors doing original research in biology and the natural sciences at UC Davis. Participants in the 2018 YOUNG SCHOLARS PROGRAM will work one-on-one with research faculty and research groups in state-of-the-art laboratories for six weeks. Each student will work on an individual project and prepare a journal quality paper and symposium presentation about their work. At the same time, each student will experience the climate and culture of living and working on a university campus.
* Open to all students regardless of citizenship or location. Participants must be 16
years old by the date the program begins, but not 18 years old before the date that the
program ends.

Pepperwood Preserve TeenNat 2018 Internship
This free internship provides an opportunity for a team of 13-18 year olds to participate in science and art while exploring a 3,200 acre
nature preserve. Participants will ask questions and gather
biological data using digital cameras and GPS units. Photos will be displayed in our gallery and uploaded to iNaturalist.org. During this
five week summer program participants will gain knowledge, learn technical skills, be active in the outdoors, and contribute to real research.
