Local Scholarships are offered by many donors right here in Calistoga and are only available to Wildcats! We are very fortunate to have so many donors (both organizations and individuals) who are excited to support you as you transition into post-secondary education. To be eligible for one or more of these scholarships, you will complete the "Local Scholarship Application," which you will find in Going Merry. The internet is full of scholarship search tools. I've previewed and researched these, and confidently recommend them to you. While there is overlap in what these different sites offer, it is definitely worth checking them all out. Learn How to Become's Financial Aid for Online College Students is a comprehensive guide to financial aid. In addition to covering financial aid for online learning, it breaks down financial aid options for ALL college-level programs. Timely, Private, & Maybe Unique "Founded in 1999, Scholarships.com now claims to be the largest free and independent scholarship search and financial aid information resource on the Internet, with more than 2.7 million scholarships worth a total of $19 billion in their database." DREAMer's Roadmap is a mobile app available from Google Play and the App Store. Designed by an undocumented student to help other undocumented students find and keep track of scholarships.
Affordable Colleges Online has created a guide that focuses on FAFSA and the changes that have taken place over the past few years. It was created with the support of Robert Friedman, the University Director of Student Finance at Yeshiva University New York, and includes advice on how to maximize financial aid with FASFA, a glossary of terms normally encountered during the financial aid process, and additional resources for students to explore.
Scholly is an easy way to find scholarships for high school seniors, current undergraduates, and graduate students. Designed to ease the scholarship search process, Scholly's adaptive matching engine promises to deliver smarter, targeted lists of scholarships. It costs $2.99 per month, and you can access through the app on your phone or on your computer. The reviews for this app are great, and everybody says it is totally worth paying for.

According to their website, "CAPPEX HAS THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE DATABASE of merit scholarships on the web that recognize individual academic, artistic and athletic achievements." Merit scholarships are a great opportunity for students who may not qualify for need-based financial aid and scholarships, as income is often not a consideration. Might be Timely, Private Only if you Opt Out, & Unique "ScholarshipMonkey.com claims their database provides students access to more than 1 million undergraduate, graduate, and professional scholarship awards worth in excess of $3 billion from greater than 4,000 sources. Like the other search engines in this article, they are committed to providing their service free of charge." According to U.S. News Report Education:
Timely, Private, & Unique "Fastweb, which has helped 50 million students find money since the site was founded 15 years ago, was the first online scholarship matching service and the first free national scholarship matching service. Fastweb's site indicates they currently have roughly 1.5 million scholarships worth $3.4 billion in their database." The JVL College Counseling Scholarship page allows you to search for scholarships by due date, major, minority status, immigration status, athletics, gender, and state.
